Weekend Breakfast Dimsum Buffet at Crystal Jade Dining In
We set the alarm to 6am one Sunday morning to attend an early church service and catch the weekend breakfast dimsum buffet at Crystal Jade Dining In. 🙂
We’ve been in this Cantonese restaurant a couple of times. Mrs. SeatsForTwo even celebrated her 35th birthday with her family. So we know what to expect when it comes to food and customer service. They were outstanding.
We love Crystal Jade’s modern and elegant restaurant interior. We occupied the table near beside the high ceiling windows for good lighting and picture-perfect purposes. We started with brewed coffee and jasmine tea. The latter is aromatic and flavorful, also known for its calming effect.
Food was served freshly prepared and cooked. Don’t expect for a buffet table where customers usually get food. Staff gives you a menu and you just have to tick on the dishes you wanted to try.
We started with Steamed Pork Rib in Black Bean Sauce which has very tasty sauce you could eat with rice. Then came next are servings of Siew Mai, Steamed Beef Balls and Hakaw. Congee looks simple but both the Fish Fillet and Sliced Beef congee taste good. We’re not really a fan of chicken feet but we tried and we were not disappointed. On the other hand, the Steamed Glutinous Rice with Conpoy wrapped in Lotus leaf was heavy and very filling.
Our top favorites were Steamed Rice Roll with B.B.Q Pork and Coriander. The waiter pours the sauce immediately after serving. It was soft and chewy. The sauce has touch of sweetness and really goes well with the unflavored rice roll. Second was the Steamed Soupy Pork Dumpling “Xiao Long Bao” with ginger sauce. But you have to consume it immediately while hot. Third on our list is Steamed Shrimp Dumpling “Hawak” with real shrimps. The Fish Fillet Congee deserves a spot as well together with Crystal Jade’s Baked Bo Lo BBQ Pork Bun.
