Olive oil brand Olivier & Co. recently held an intimate luncheon to showcase Oliviers & Co. gourmet olive oils – the Affiorato and Lemon Specialty Olive Oil.
This was made possible in partnership with top artisan Italian restaurant, Va Bene Pasta Deli in Central Square Mall, BGC, Taguig City.
The luncheon event started with a sumptuous appetiser highlighted by a thinly sliced tuna joined with fresh arugula, shitake mushrooms, orange, and cheese in O&Co. Lemon Specialty Olive Oil.
We enjoyed its fresh, citrus flavor.
What came next were a Tomato Risotto with O&Co. 2017 Affiorato Oil and Aglio E Olio with O&Co. Lemon Specialty Olive Oil.
Between the two, we loved the pasta dish – Aglio E Olio. Va Bene makes their pasta upon order so you’re sure to have a fresh one upon order and cooked al dente.
We never imagined olive oil and desserts together; not until we were served in this intimate luncheon. We were served three dessert variants.
Ice cream with olive oil might sound strange to most, but we were glad we had a few. It was called Olive Oil Ice Cream with O&Co. 2017 Affiorato Oil. You’d never know it had olive oil if you weren’t told.
For the second, Va Bene brought summer back with the Summer Panna Cotta drizzled with O&Co. Blueberry Balsamic Condiment. The condiment has a sweet and fruity flavor just like the classic fig balsamic vinegar which we enjoyed.
The third is the Strawberry & Fig with O&Co. Fig Condiment which is also a must-try.
After the luncheon, we took time to visit Oliviers & Co. boutique in Central Square. The French-based company offers a whole line of luxury oils, condiments and seasoning. Oliviers & Co. is located at Level 3 of Central Square Mall, Bonifacio High Street Central.
