Sunday Brunch & Laid Back Vibes at Ristorante di Verona, SwissOtel Clark
We both love to travel. And as a couple, we celebrate different occasions, both big and small, by going somewhere or having a relaxing staycation in a resort or hotel.
Just like our recent staycation, just right outside of Metro Manila – at Swissôtel Clark in Pampanga.
Ristorante di Verona @ Swissôtel Clark
It was our first time at the hotel, where we were invited for the launch of the Verona Brunch Club at Ristorante di Verona, located at the 5th floor. Interestingly, Ristorante di Verona of Swissotel Clark is the first authentic Italian fun-dining restaurant in the area.
Clark, Pampanga is known as one of the top choices for a quick weekend getaway from the metro’s busy streets; while remaining accessible to nearby major provinces like Bulacan, Zambales and Bataan.
Did you know that Swissôtel Clark is the newest hotel in the area, and surrounded by Marriott Hotel Clark and Hann Resort, among others. This bustling area, as a whole, offers various recreational activities and premium hotels for family staycations.
A New Style of Brunch
Upon stepping out of the 5th floor elevator, you will not miss the turn with the green-hued enclave leading you to the main door.
A warm welcome will surely greet you upon entrance into the lovely restaurant – “Welcome to the Good Life!”
And indeed, we were greeted with a glass of mimosa as we were led to the alfresco dining for a lovely Sunday brunch – Verona Brunch Club..
We started with freshly baked pizza and some pastries – Danish and pain au chocolat, as the exclusive Sunday brunch club came to life.
It was complemented with upbeat music and cheerful smiles from both the service staff, and the guests themselves, obviously enjoying the matin gathering.
A bowl of heart-warming Seafood Green Pea soup together with select fine cheese came next. You could even view the hotel pool a few meters away while enjoying your food.
You have the option to enjoy the summer vibes at the alfresco, or you can also dine in comfort cool inside the restaurant where we moved for the main course.
Our laid back weekend continued with six types of specialty dishes which are just a few among your possible choices from Ristorante di Verona.
Ready your palate with a Fresh Oyster triad for appetizers, and some cold cuts
For mains, Mrs. Seats For Two had the Pan-seared salmon fillet with star anise beurre blanc sauce while Mr. Seats For Two had a Wagyu double beef burger served with truffle fries.
We loved the former’s smooth taste with crusty texture, and the latter’s meat was tender and juicy. It’s evenly cooked as well.
Other dish options available are:
- Porchetta served with marble potato, carrots and green peas cream.
- Beef Tenderloin served with hasselback truffle potato, carrot, asparagus and red wine reduction sauce
- Pesto Butter Chicken Supreme with vegetable ratatouille
- Cod Fish with spiced chickpeas.
Being sweet lovers, we always look forward to dessert at the end of the meal. And Ristorante di Verona did not disappoint.
Concluding our brunch were Mascarpone Cheese Cake and Candied Banana Mille Fruille.
Between the two, we loved the Candied Banana Mille Fruille more. It has a crunchy-chewy pastry with soft filling, and some caramelized banana slices.
We also recommend you to try their Beef Carpaccio before diving into a Porchetta or Beef Tenderloin served with Ristorante di Verona’s very own Balsamic wine reduction. As of today, the restaurant houses a 25-year old Balsamic Vinegar of Modena used mainly as an ingredient for reductions, following all the rules of a century old tradition.
Furthermore, Ristorante di Verona houses the biggest wine cellar in North Metro Manila with an eclectic selection of over 300 wines sourced from various regions.
For families with kids, a non-alcoholic brunch packages are also available.
Overall, it was a beautiful Sunday brunch that you’d look forward to in the next weekend. We enjoyed a wide variety of appetizer selections and grazed on fresh oysters for starters. But the best part were the sumptuous mains and exquisite dishes. The gastronomical experience matched the refined pleasure of Ristorante di Verona’s ambience.
