Amidst the busyness of the holiday season, we hope you still find time to enjoy the season and take time to relax. On Christmas eve, some may choose to buy ready-to-eat food or order from their favorite restaurant rather than spend hours in the kitchen preparing for Noche Buena. Others prefer to travel and visit their family and relatives outside Metro Manila. Some couples would go for a holiday staycation. We’ve tried welcoming the new year with a hotel staycation in Makati a few years back and we would love to do it again.
We started the month of December attending Christmas tree lighting ceremonies. For the last two years, we joined Bayview Park Hotel Manila’s tree lighting ceremony. Last year, the hotel lobby was decorated with silver and blue ornaments. This year, the theme is all about sleighs, reindeer and everything bright at Christmas. The ceremony started with a song number by the Diva Delights, a group of employees who participates in projects like this one. The “Divas” serenaded us with Christmas songs.
Kids from Timoteo Paez Elementary School Rondalla group also graced the event. As we all know, Bayview Park Hotel always makes a point to have children as part of their most important holiday celebrations.
The ceremony ended with a sumptuous breakfast prepared by Bayview Park Hotel. Yes, breakfast because Bayview is the only hotel that holds tree lighting ceremony in the morning at 8am. We’ve been to Bayview Park Hotel a couple of times. It is our home when attending Digicon (Digital Conference) in Manila, convenient and easily accessible to PICC Plenary Hall.
