Noche Buena Feast Ideas From Honolulu Cafe
HongKong is our first out-of-country travel destination after we got married years ago. Aside from shopping and sight-seeing, we enjoyed the good food in the vertical city.
Fish balls, Cha siu baau, wonton, Hainanese chicken rice and egg tarts, were among our fancies back then. These are also the must-try when in Hong Kong. We missed the city, but we’re glad we can easily satisfy our cravings of HongKong style dishes when we’re at Honolulu Cafe Manila.
Honolulu Cafe SM Aura is one of our go-to dining spots when we’re at BGC in Taguig. When we’re on a rush, a take-out or a foodpanda order would do for us to enjoy it at home.
For the unfamiliar, Honolulu Cafe started in the 1940s when founder Mr. Yeung Jin Hei started it in Hong Kong, where else! He pioneered the brewing of the Cafe’s signature coffee using Hawaiian-style roast, and so he named it the “Honolulu Café”.
Mrs. Seats For Two has always loved the smell of freshly baked breads. Which eventually made us fall-in-love with their Bo Lo BBQ Bun and their best-selling, Honolulu Egg Tarts. The latter are yummy, flaky pastry with smooth custard filling. It’s a delicious treat, best served warm and goes well with coffee or tea.
Finally, after almost two years into the pandemic and quarantine, Honolulu Cafe is now open for guests who are fully vaccinated.
Customers can now again enjoy a wide range of tasty dishes including Sweet and Sour Pork, Soy Chicken and Stir Fried Hong Kong Style Noodle with Pork Chop in XO Sauce; just like we did from our recent visit.
Enjoy the holiday festivities with a whole soy chicken, roast BBQ Pork and curry fish ball!
Better yet, order your favorite Honolulu Cafe dishes for Noche Buena or Media Noche to avoid the stress from holiday preparation.
You can also pick-up your food or order online via GrabFood and FoodPanda.
