Spend this Weekend in Trio
It’s a great weekend, isn’t it? Primarily because it was payday just a few days ago, rihgt?. Thinking of calling on some friends for a weekend gimmick? Well, Chili’s just made it easier for you and two of your drinking barkada with Chili’s “Rita Trio“; complete with the Southwest American inspired brand.
What is Chili’s “Rita Trio”?
Historically, there are multiple and different references to the Margarita‘s origin, from Tijuana to Jose Cuervo, and even from Acapulco to a girl named Marjorie King. 🙂 So if you’re a fan of margaritas, then you’ll definitely go ecstatic with Chili’s new “Rita Trio” promotion. For only P350, you get to order any three (3) from a selection of five (5) margariita offering from Chili’s namely the Pomegranate Margarita, Blue Pacific Margarita, Chambord 1800 Margarita, Tropical Sunrise, and El Nino Margarita.
First, the Pomegranate Margarita is a mix of hand-shaken margarita made with 1800 Tequila, Absolut Citron, pomegranate syrup, and fresh of lime.
The Blue Pacific Margarita will remind you of breezy tropical nights with 1800 Tequila, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, and Blue Curacao. It’s a night beach experience in summer!
The yellowish tone of El Nino Margarita is courtesy of Grand Marnier, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, fresh orange juice, sweet & sour, and 1800 Tequila with a slice of orange and lime.
I hope you’re still sober with the fourth and fifth serving of margaritas namely the Tropical Sunrise and Chambord 1800 Margarita.
The former is for those who like it sweet with a mix of 1800 Tequila, Melon Liqueur, pineapple juice, sweet & sour, and a splash of grenadine. On the other hand, the latter leaves you with a strong flavor mix care of Cointreau Orange Liqueur, 1800 Tequila and Chambord.
Seats For Three!
I’m not familiar with all of the above-mentioned flavors but I’m sure these concoctions were made for groups of diners looking for a night of good food and great company at Chili’s Restaurant. 35 years in the restaurant industry and having originated from Dallas, Texas, says something.
Get to try more varieties in sizable servings as the Chili’s Rita Trio promo gives you the opportunity to try three variants in rock-glass size servings and most importantly, affordable rate of P350. All these 5 premium margaritas are available all day, not just during ‘happy hour‘, in all Chili’s branches around the Philippines.
Can’t have enough? You can order them in regular sizes for the bigger portions. Furthermore, margarita experts would notice that the sweet & sour mix are not watered down as it is imported directly from the US through the Chili’s franchise.
Marjorie and I are not strong on liquors so we just had a sip or two from each of the flavors at the 110-seater SM Megamall branch a few days ago. Marj’s favorite unsurprisingly turned out to be the Tequila Sunrise which is on the sweet side while I went for the lemon grip of El Nino Margarita; it’s also one of Chili’s bosses’ favorite!
No need to wait for ‘National Margarita Day‘ or ‘Cinco de Mayo‘ festival for a great margarita experience. I’m sure Chili’s Marketing Manager Laine de Jesus-Vallar would agree.
New Premium Margaritas
Moreover, Chili’s also highlighted its new premium margarita – Patron Silver Margarita – to their menu of margarita favorites:
- Platinum Presidente Margarita (P395): hand-shaken Patron Silver Tequila (100% Blue Agave), Cointreau Orange Liqueur, Fundador Reserve Brandy, and sweet & sour.
- Patron Pomegranate Margarita (P380): a fruity mix of Patron Silver Tequila (100% Blue Agave), Cointreau Orange Liqueur, Pomegranate syrup and 7-up.
- Grand Patron Margarita (P425): smooth combination of Patron Silver Tequila (100% Blue Agave), Grand Marnier, sweet & sour and a squeeze of fresh lime.
I’m a bit tipsy already by this time so I’ll leave the taste-teasting of the new premium margaritas for you, my readers, to find out. 🙂
Of course, a trip to Chili’s would never be complete without tasting two or three of their best-sellers from the menu right? Check out the food blog NomNom Club for their Chili’s SM Megamall visit!
