Summer Thrills at Belmont Hotel Manila
We started the Holy Week vacation season in the Philippines at the newest hotel in Resorts World Manila – Belmont Hotel.
We arrived in Newport City just in time for lunch, which we had at Marriott Cafe. Right after that, we immediately proceeded to check-in Belmont Hotel Manila which was just about a block away.
We were greeted by the friendly staff and a spacious hotel lobby which seemed ready for the influx of guests for the holiday season.
We got a corner deluxe room at the 10th floor which we think is one of the best spots in the hotel. Aside from being a corner room, Rooftop 11, which houses the hotel’s swimming pool is just a floor up. 🙂
We were looking forward to this stay to cool-off a bit this hot summer in the Philippines, a summer thrill, so they say; but not going too far away from the city.
Our Belmont Hotel Deluxe Room
Upon entering our room, the first thing that caught our eye were the glass windows with a good view of the Resorts World Manila complex and the Makati and Taguig business district skylines on the left and right sides at the farther end, respectively.
Although it’s a room just for two persons, they were able to fit a full work station desk which is connected to the refrigerator. The tea and coffee making facilities were also in place. Underneath the table is the mini bar complete with a variety of juices and beer.
The television is conveniently hinged on the wall, perhaps to save space. Almost everything was functional and we were still comfortable moving around.
And of course, most importantly, the queen-sized bed was soft and comfortable; complete with clean-crisp white duvet and pillows.
For pillow-lovers, you may want to grab the 2 extra pillows tucked at the upper section of the open closet for a total of 6 pillows to hug! 🙂
The open closet has soft bathrobes, wooden hangers, bedroom slippers, umbrella and safety box while the bath room has modern and industrial design floorings and walls.
Of course, it had hot & cold shower plus a complete set of toiletries including toothbrushes and vanity kits.
Rooftop 11: Belmont Hotel’s Swimming Pool & Bar
Every time we would go on a vacation / staycation, we look forward to spending more time swimming and lounging by the poolside.
Albeit a regular-sized pool, Belmont did not disappoint.
The swimming pool is located on the rooftop, the 11th floor. One side showcased a view of Resorts World Manila and Newport City while the other side gave as a view of the NAIA 3 airport.
Aside from day beds, it’s surrounded with well-manicured trees and a variety of plants. On the opposite corner is the pool bar serving cocktails, beer, and food.
The pool becomes more romantic at night.
With multi-colored acrylic LED play-spheres lit to decorate the pool silhouette, it serves as a great place to unwind over wine. We also enjoyed an instant massage from the Jacuzzi / kiddie pool.
And don’t forget to spend some time plane-spotting on the sky. 🙂
Belmont Hotel is conveniently located just across one of the biggest airport in the Philippines – Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. With the new Runway Manila connecting NAIA 3 to Resorts World Manila having just opened a week ago, ‘luxury‘ is now literally a few steps away via the elevated walkway. This explains why most of the hotel booking / clients are actually travellers who are anticipating their next-day flights.
Afterwards, we went down at the 6th floor for some steam and sauna inside the gym.
Seats For Two Thumbs UP
Our 3-day,2-nights staycation gave us enough time to recharge and rejuvenate over the long weekend.
Good thing that all shops and restaurants inside Resorts World Manila were open from until Holy Thursday and immediately reopened on Saturday.
We had restful nights and enjoyed the buffet breakfast at Cafe Belmont in the mornings.
