Royal Air Expands with New Domestic Route and In-flight Entertainment
Traveling and exploring the world can be both a rewarding and an awakening experience at the same time. Our most recent one was in Hokkaido, Japan, earlier this month.
Traveling entails a lot of preparation from choosing where to go, to creating, and submitting requirements for a visa application.
We would set our smartphones and emails for seat sale alerts; although most of the time, we prefer to check airline websites for promos.
We are glad that low-cost carriers, such as the new Royal Air, offers cheap flights from the Philippines. Here’a brief feature as we get to know about them more…
Royal Air: Country’s Newest Low-Cost Airline
Established in 2002, Royal started as an air charter service. In 2017, the charter service was intensified. Three 97-seater British Aerospace (BAe) AVRO 146 RJ-100 series — a four-engine regional airliner also known as WhisperJet for its very quiet operation, were brought in.
In 2018, Royal Air started its commercial operations with inaugural flight from Clark to Caticlan and vice versa.
Today, they are committed to become the country’s fast-growing airline and aims to offer more destinations here and abroad.
To date, Royal Air serves over 7 routes across the Philippines out of 3 major hubs – Manila, Cebu and Clark (Pampanga). With flights to Caticlan and Puerto Princesa.
Last May 20, they started flying to Cebu from Manila. Soon they would be offering flight to Cagayan de Oro, Davao, El Nido (San Vicente), Bohol and Macau.
