Today, Labor Day – May 1, foodpanda Philippines is doubling the in-app tips received by their Ka-panda partner riders, as part of its ongoing efforts to provide added support amid rising daily costs.
Rolled out nationwide, the initiative encourages customers to show appreciation through tipping, with foodpanda matching each tip to amplify its impact– and 100% of tips going to riders. It also emphasizes the vital role riders play in connecting communities—delivering not just food, but convenience and care to households across the country.
This initiative is part of the Panda-Malasakit Project, a purpose-driven campaign that brings together efforts designed to support riders, customers, and partners during a time of rising costs.

“Our partner riders are the backbone of our business, and on Labor Day, we want their rewards to reflect their resilience,” said Patricia Jacinto, growth and marketing director of foodpanda Philippines. “By doubling tips, we are joining forces with our customers to ensure that every Ka-panda feels the full weight of the country’s gratitude. In the face of rising costs, we aren’t just moving food—we’re moving forward together.“
Built on the idea that every order can create impact, it combines matched tipping and on-ground initiatives to support riders, customers, and partners across the foodpanda ecosystem.
As foodpanda continues to roll out more initiatives under the project, the company remains committed to strengthening its support for riders and the communities it serves.
