668-Room Bai Hotel Cebu Launched in Mandaue!

“Bai” is a Cebuano term for a ‘male friend’; nowadays it can be used to refer to ‘friends’ in general. That is exactly how you would feel when you get to visit the newly launched Bai Hotel Cebu in Mandaue City, Cebu!

Still fresh from our recent trip, we are excited to share our experiences from the newest and currently the biggest city hotel outside of Manila!

From the airport, the hotel coaster fetched our traveling group from the airport and comfortably brought us to the hotel.

Bai Hotel Cebu is conveniently located along the North Reclamation Area, a booming area in Mandaue, Cebu and is a few minutes drive to/from the airport.

Bai Hotel is currently the biggest city hotel outside of Metro Manila with 668 rooms that offer a beautiful harbor and city view, complete with modern amenities and facilities.

Upon stepping into the hotel lobby, we were immediately welcomed by their friendly staff and a gigantic Christmas tree intricately decorated with Christmas balls, glistening accessories, and local handcrafted trimmings. A grand Christmas tree indeed that matches the grandiose host hotel.

The lobby is spacious (as the photos prove) situated in between two restaurants on both ends – a coffee shop, and lobby lounge & bar. Right on top of the lobby is the Cafe Bai All-Day Dining which offers a sumptuous buffet spread from morning ’til night to hotel guests.

Bai Hotel Premiere Deluxe Room

The 23-storey hotel features a variety of accommodation from deluxe, premier, to more than a hundred executive rooms with modern interiors and furniture.

Our one-bedroom, premier deluxe room is located at the 15th floor. It’s quite spacious, with a king-size bed, a sofa, work station, mini bar, tea and coffee making facility, and cable television.

The room measures about 27 sqm. with option for Harbor or City view. Hotel guests may choose to have a king-size or alternatively, a twin bed.

Moreover, our premier room also comes with bath robes, iron with ironing board, toiletry set, minibar, 40-inch internet protocol TV, internet access / WIFI, cable/satellite movie channels, electronic key card system, electronic safe, 24-hour in-room dining service and coffee and tea making set.

As part of the media fam tour, we got the chance to tour around the hotel and presented the amenities including:

• Infinity outdoor lap pool
• Fitness Center with Sauna (sorry no steam room)
• Twilight Roof deck Lounge & Bar
• Business Center with Meeting Rooms
• Cafe Bai which is the hotel’s all-day dining
• The Exclusive Executive Lounge

Breakfast is served at Cafe Bai which is located at the 2nd floor while the infinity pool overlooking Mandaue City and Cebu City is located at the 21st floor.

On the other hand, the Executive Lounge is located at the top floor exclusive for VIP guests of the hotel.

1st-Ever Christmas Tree Lighting @ Bai Hotel

The official grand launch of Bai Hotel Cebu was made on the same day as the hotel’s 1st-ever Christmas Tree Lighting which made the day even more special.

It was preceded by a press conference at Cefe Bai in the afternoon with media guests from Cebu and Manila! The Christmas Tree Lighting program followed shortly.

It started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony just outside the main hotel choirentrance complete with “snow” effects in tune with the holiday ‘season’.

Inside the hotel, a short story program was held leading to the actual Christmas Tree lighting amidst a background of the angelic voices of a choir.

After the ceremonies, guests were led to the Bai Hotel Cebu Grand Ballroom for the main festivities, program, and dinner highlighting the celebration of the hotel’s grand launch.
