Tagaytay Weekend: Keeping It Green @ FORA
We were back in Tagaytay last weekend with folks from Filinvest Land‘s Fora Rotunda Tagaytay. It was a quick but worthwhile escape as we joined the real property group’s tree-planting activity collectively called “Keep It Green 2017“!
Keeping It Green
If you frequent Tagaytay, you would have noticed an almost-complete, ongoing construction of a vast structure along the city’s iconic Rotunda – Fora Rotunda Tagaytay. It is Filinvest’s 5.2 hectare mixed use, master-planned township project.
We were actually surprised when we received the invitation for this special gathering as we didn’t expect the property to be finished already. Well, finishing works are ongoing; and while it is not yet formally opened, most of the major structures are already in place. One of the condotels at the back of the mall just had it’s topping-off a few months ago, actually.
As early as last week, Fora Rotunda, received its first batch of trees in what is envisioned to become a major lush and green destination in Tagaytay.
Various native tree species were planted during Filinvest’s annual “Keep It Green” tree planting event that brought together the company’s officers, employees, partners and investors to promote a cleaner and greener environment.
“We want to help Tagaytay preserve its cool climate in our own little way. We hope to encourage others to also take an active role in taking care of our environment…Fora’s vision is to give its residents, guests and the whole Tagaytay community the opportunity to appreciate, enjoy and value our environment,” says Francis V. Ceballos, Filinvest Senior Vice President for North East Cluster who led the tree planting at Fora.
Ceballos added that the Keep It Green initiative is significant in Fora’s development, as a huge part of the area is allocated for open space, and the tree planting activity is Filinvest’s way of giving back to nature.
Francis Gotianun, Vice President of Filinvest Hospitality Corporation who also graced the tree planting activity, shared the same sentiment.
From a larger perspective, ‘Keep It Green‘ has planted some four thousand seedlings of native tree species in provincial projects sites in Laguna, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Rizal and Palawan since its inception in 2012.
Newest Lifestyle Destinations
Just an hour’s drive from Manila (sans the traffic), Fora is set to change the landscape of Tagaytay as the newest lifestyle destination, with more choices to discover from shopping and dining to everything about leisure.
Fora features a mall, a condotel, and other amenities such as an events hall, the centerpiece amphitheater that will make for an ideal venue for weddings and outdoor activities, a botanical garden, canopy walk, and a sky garden, all set in ’l‘agaytay’s cool climate and scenic environs.
Centrally located at the Rotunda junction, next to churches, hospitals and commercial centers, Fora takes pride with its 360-degree accessibility.
Quest Hotel at Fora
Set against a lush green backdrop, Quest Hotel, the condotel managed by Chroma Hospitality, Inc., is designed to provide every guest the comforts of modern living. It is set to be the destination of choice for a weekend getaway and family staycation that will provide an idyllic, close to nature retreat with easy access to all modern conveniences.
Its well-appointed amenities such as an infinity pool and a landscaped path walk will surely make for a fun and relaxing getaway.
Fora Mall
Fora Mall, a Filinvest Lifemall, is designed to be one of the main attractions in Tagaytay as a prime shopping and recreational spot. It is a testament to Filinvest’s track record in creating retail destinations.
Fora Mall will offer a wide variety of the newest and popular global brands, along with an extensive range of culinary delights complemented by a wide array of restaurants and food outlets to excite even the most seasoned foodie. It promises a unique shopping and leisure experience anchored by Metro Hypermart of the Gaisano group. Mall goers can also catch the latest flicks in any of the four digital cinemas, the first and only one in Tagaytay to date.
Metro Hypermart at the Fora Mall just opened last June 26, 2017, while Quest Hotel at Fora is seen to be fully operational by the end of 2018.
