Day 1 | Our First Sailcation Experience with 2Go Travel

We’ve been to Cebu a couple of times but it was only recently that we travelled to the Queen City via sea. It was a different kind of travel experience sailing for almost 24 hours aboard 2Go MV Maligaya.

We arrived at Manila North Harbor around 4pm for the 7PM trip to Cebu. Passengers were allowed to bring up to 50kg baggage, which is included in the ticket they will purchase. We packed lightly and brought one small luggage and a backpack. From Quezon City, we took a cab going to the port area, making sure to give ample time because the traffic gets heavy during rush hour and rainy season.

At the check-in counter, we got our tickets and ushered to the waiting/lounge where passengers stayed until boarding. The vessel was so big and high, we felt excited to immediately board at MV Maligaya. Don’t worry if you have heavy luggage, there are porters who can assist you.

Our room, the business class for two, is located at the 2nd level. Here’s what our room looks like. There are two single beds with pillows and a blanket, a lavatory, a closet with two life jackets, television, and radio. There’s a bedside lamp as well so you can work or catch some reading without disturbing your roommate.

At the entrance, 2Go staff warmly greeted us and collected our tickets ushering us to our rooms. The lobby was spacious and clean. You’ll find here the concierge, souvenir shop, 2Go Parlor, Quik Mart, charging stations, kid’s library, clinic and hallways leading to various accommodations.

After settling down, it’s time for dinner. 2Go Travel prepared a lovely welcome dinner for the guests.

Aside from accommodation, meals are included when you booked at 2Go. However, passengers may also request special dishes like this one with an extra charge. The cruise chef can even cook a special meal for you and your loved one.

Surf and Turf : Salmon and Shrimp

The food was very good, and serving was huge. We had grilled salmon and shrimps, hearty mushroom soup and dessert.
