Wedding Celebrations At Aristocrat
We thought the wedding food tasting event we attended in 2012 was the last, we were wrong. Just few days ago, we went to another tasting prepared by well-loved Filipino restaurant, Aristocrat.
From the entrance I already noticed these lovely bridal gowns displayed near the reception area. It reminds us of our wedding back in 2013. There gowns in modern and stylish cut, also classic Filipiniana bridal and groom’s suit. Back in 2012, I wanted a Filipiniana gown and all-Filipino motif but then I realized I’m getting married to a Chinese guy so we had a modern, Chinese wedding motif. We also chose the 10th of February, exactly Chinese New Year 2013 for our wedding date.
Going back to Wedding Celebrations at Aristocrat. They served us famous Filipino and Spanish cuisine. Their menu and presentation leans towards the classic favorites – fresh lumpia ubod, signature chicken barbeque, callos, lengue in brown sauce, and sotanghon. For appetizer we bagnet in pita wrap.
Not just a holiday treat, Aristocrat’s embotido has been a favorite dish in many weddings in the past. It has raisins, sausage, pickle relish and other ingredients.
Lengua in Brown Sauce and Callos
The tender lengua in brown sauce and callos were two of my favorites.
What to expect when attending a wedding food tasting?
We were able to meet the people behind Aristocrat restaurant. They talked about the basic wedding package and the cost if you wish to upgrade the food, package, freebies, chairs, motifs, and designs. Also joining the event were wedding suppliers from gowns, flowers, photo and video services and souvenir items.
I remember, I was also particular with the wedding cake. In fact, I chose the design and color of my wedding cake. I made sure it matched my wedding bouquet which was all red roses. 🙂
For dessert, we had several sweets from the Aristocrat Bakeshop. Their cakes was good, soft and buttery. You must try it! The next time I drop by in Makati or Mother Ignacia area, I will see to it to visit Aristocrat bakeshop to satisfy my sweet tooth. <3
Food Tasting Tips
- Enjoy every minute of your wedding preparation. Don’t be too stress or aim to perfection. Every wedding is not perfect, just like marriage.
- During the food tasting, they will ask you to complete a form but it doesn’t mean you already signed the contract or committed to them.
- When possible try out at least three caterers and compare each one of them.
- If fiancee can’t make it for whatever reason (like mine, he was in Legoland Malaysia that time) bring your mom or soon-to-be mother-in-law, they might also give you an advise.
- Compare the cost, the food as well as its presentation and package before deciding.
- If possible, both the groom and bride should attend to the wedding tasting as well.
