Dinner For Two At Redd Restaurant
We love the fusion of modern interior and quirky pieces at Redd restaurant in Prism Plaza. What sealed a great dining experience was the glorious meat we had such as Kare-Kare trio, Pork Binagoongan and Kansi.
It was Seats For Two’s first time to dine at Redd. Coming from North, the Quezon City area, we seldom go at MOA except on special occasions. The great tasting Pinoy dishes did not disappoint us.
The restaurant has modern interior, aye-catching wall decors and industrial-type ceiling. Beyond this modern interior, we found small zany pieces such as an old telephone salt and pepper holder. But one of the main attractions here is the view of Manila Bay. The restaurant offers a perfect venue for a romantic dinner for two. Redd is also a favorite weekend hangout of customers wanting to take a break from work by watching live band performances and good food. Also on special occasion and events like New Year’s eve and the annual Pyromusical competition.
The restaurant highlights special Filipino dishes. Rod, the owner said that everything are prepare as it is, no shortcuts. We started with some refreshing Coco Lychee, Ube Jalaya and Mango smoothies. Then some tasty appetizers came out. The Sinuglaw (P220) also known as kinilaw na yellow fin tuna, pork belly in vinegar. Best paired with cold beer, wine or just fresh juice and smoothies along with Juana Fries (P175). Some Potatoes with chili con carne, cheddar cream and salsa. It was one of the best fries we ever had but their sisig was the star of the night. This sisig looks simple and straight forward, no added egg but cooked in pork liver thus flavorful. The sisig tickled our appetite we asked for hot rice.
A steaming bowl of Sinampalukang Chicken Inasal (P190) came next. Together with crispy pork belly Pork Binagoongan (P240), with fried eggplant in spicy bagoong sauce.
Another must-try when in Redd is the Short Ribs Kansi (P200), cooked 8-hours in kamias, lemongrass, chili and beef stock. Really flavorful.
The flavors of inasal and adobo combine in Chicken Pork Adobo (P230), pork belly bagnet, chicken leg and thigh inasal in special adobo sauce.
Kare Kare Trio (P490), grilled chicken, beef brisket, fried pork, local peanut sauce, blanched vegetables and bagoong.
Crispy Pata (P700), garlic-crispy pork trotters and knuckles, trilogy of dipping sauce.
Vegetable dishes like Gising-gising, Pakbet Iloco and Tinumok, (shrimp, minced pork, shrimp paste wrapped in taro leaves boiled in coconut milk).
